Customized Dizziness and Balance Program

Up to 40% of all adults experience dizziness episodes of such intensity or frequency that they seek medical help. Dizziness can be caused by rapid, jerking eye movements that can be assessed by a Video Nystagmogram (VNG) test. During VNG testing, video goggles record eye movements (nystagmus) with infrared cameras. This information is evaluated, and a customized rehabilitation program is created for you based on these findings.

Manual Lymph Drainage Therapy

Lymphedema may become an unfortunate side effect due to the removal of lymph nodes or trauma to the lymphatic system. If the lymphatic system is compromised, it changes the way the lymph fluid flows within the body and can cause swelling. At Wasilla Physical Therapy, we offer a program of manual lymph drainage, exercise therapy, and compression bandaging to assist patients with lymphedema.

Urinary Incontinence

Urinary incontinence can be an embarrassing and, surprisingly common problem. You will receive an evaluation of strength and endurance of the pelvic floor, an analysis of factors contributing to the problem and an explanation of the findings. Treatment programs may include instruction in appropriate exercises, suggestions for lifestyle changes if necessary and the use of biofeedback to augment voluntary effort. Custom Orthotics
Foot orthotics or inserts were developed to help restore proper biomechanics in the foot and ankle thus restoring normal foot function. Orthotics is beneficial for correcting a variety of lower extremity symptoms such as foot or knee pain. More specifically, people exhibiting symptoms of plantar fasciitis, heel pain, retro-patellar pain or shin splints are just a few of the diagnoses that can be treated with custom foot orthotics. A "Sole" certified practitioner is available to meet your orthotic needs.
